ENG – our services for professionals:
Broadcast camera teams and editing
ENG Team
Our cameramen work for both TV networks as well as private clients. For TV reportage, it is speed, flexibility and solid know-how that count. And when working for private clients, an above-average level of creativity, capacity for empathy and sense of responsibility are also required. All of these factors come into play during ENG filming and have a positive impact on the camera work as a whole.
Equipment
One of the latest HD camcorders, the Sony PDW-700 is a true all-rounder. The camera records in standard definition (SD) IMX 50mbits/s, DVCam in 16:9 or 4:3 in PAL and NTSC as well as in 1080i and 720pHD format. We have two fully equipped ENG vehicles, the second of which has a MSW-900 IMX camcorder.
Both vehicles are kitted out with equipment that includes the stereo sound mixing console, a number of wireless microphone systems, lightboxes with chimera, Dedolight, dolly, grip etc. And should a small HD camera be called for, we will send out our two Sony PMW EX-1 on the road, which despite their small size offer outstanding quality at the same time as fast image workflow.
Editing
We have installed Final Cut, Apple’s editing program, on a number of computers back in our offices. Thanks to free scalability, we can offer SD and HD editing both on our mobile and our permanent editing suites. We are able to process all the following formats: Beta SP, Beta SX, IMX, DigiBeta and DVCam SD formats. Our PDW-U1 USB reader enables the fast transfer of file-based XDCam material in IMX, DVCam and HD formats. The PDW-U1, however, also serves as a recorder onto which the edited master can be dubbed. A sound-proofed voice-over booth with monitor and intercom round off our sound recording offering.
Uplink
You need a real time feed for your video clip? No problem. We’ll upload your material from the SRG station in Basel or other transmission points throughout Switzerland. If required, we can organize a news van for you from our partner company tpc and GlobalLink from anywhere you choose.
